Summer tradition

Productions of William Gibson's "The Miracle Worker" at Ivy Green in Tuscumbia are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 through July 15.

The drama at Helen Keller's birthplace tells how teacher Annie Sullivan taught the deaf and blind Helen to communicate. In this scene are Dana McArthur of Decatur, right, as Sullivan, and Prestley Bramlett of Decatur as Helen.

McArthur recently completed a Broadway tour of "The Sound of Music" in Asia.

Tickets are $10 for reserved seats and $8 general admission. Cost includes a tour of the home. Rain moves performances to Deshler High School. Call 383-4066.
