MOULTON — A Hillsboro woman, who allegedly killed a Decatur man while she was driving drunk with a revoked license, is in jail today after a Lawrence County grand jury
indicted her for manslaughter.

Ginger Diane Shelton Terry, 39, of 370 Lawrence County 413, collided with motorcyclist Tyron Perkins, 25, on Oct. 24, in Hillsboro, authorities said. It was one day before Terry was to appear in Circuit Court to face a 2003 driving under the influence charge.

Terry has three DUI convictions, which would make a fourth conviction a felony.

The grand jury also indicted Terry for driving with a revoked license, DUI and operating a vehicle without insurance.

She remains in jail in lieu of bonds totaling $23,500.

An indictment is an accusation, not a conviction.

The grand jury also indicted:

  • Gary Keith Pierce, 49, of 129 Lawrence County 236, Moulton, for three counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument. He remains in jail on bonds totaling $4,500.
