Trampoline or windsock?

Mary Steele returned home Tuesday after a severe thunderstorm swept over her home on Oakdale Road east of Athens to find her roof damaged and a trampoline draped across it.

Steele said she passed the storm with relatives after they called and urged her to stay with them. The Limestone County Sheriff's Department said trees were downed across the county, Clements residents suffered a power outage and a building at the rodeo grounds blew over.

In Lawrence County, Emergency Management Agency Director Hillard Frost said strong winds knocked down a tree south of Courtland, pulling down a power line that landed in front of a truck on Lawrence County 150. The incident caused a power outage at about 4:45 p.m.
