CLARIFICATION

Morgan County Revenue Commissioner Amanda Scott said she did not accuse a Morgan County commissioner of sexually harassing a county employee, as THE DAILY reported Wednesday. According to Scott, she said the employee complained that the commissioner acted with inappropriate conduct toward the employee.

Three commissioners, Chairman John Glasscock, Kevin Murphy and Stacy George, said Scott did use the term "sexual harassment." Commissioner Jeff Clark said she did not use the term. Commissioner Richard Lyons said he did not recall whether she used the term.

Scott also said she was not present, as THE DAILY reported, after Monday's commission meeting when a confrontation between George and the employee's father occurred.

THE DAILY is glad to set the record straight.
