Athens police file charge against Enterprise man

ATHENS — The third time isnít the charm for one robbery suspect.

Charles David Greenway, 21, of 6550 Coffee County 708, Enterprise, who also has given addresses in Elkmont and Owens, was already in the Limestone County Jail on two robbery charges when Athens police charged him this weekend with a third count of first-degree robbery.

Capt. Marty Bruce said that on Dec. 5, Greenway allegedly pulled a T-shirt over his face with holes cut out for eyes and robbed the J-Mart at U.S. 72 and Hine Street at knifepoint.

Police previously charged Greenway with the October robbery of the same store.

Limestone County charged him with robbing West Side Video on Alabama 99 on Dec. 10. Sheriff Mike Blakely said Greenway allegedly robs stores for money to buy crack cocaine. He is in jail with no bond set.
