FLORETTE — A convertible flipped over, hurling four Brewer High School students out in-to a field near the school Tuesday afternoon, state troopers said.

Troopers said the vehicle was eastbound from the school when it ran off Pines Road near Fowler Road shortly after 3
p.m.

The car went down a steep embankment, jumped a dirt access ramp and flipped three or four times.

None of the teens were wearing seat belts and all were thrown clear of the vehicle, troopers said.

Surprisingly, none of the teens found scattered across the empty field appeared to have suffered life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

Discharged from hospital

Ambulances carried driver Patricia Murray, 16, her brother Brandon Murray, 14, and two other passengers, Scott Holmes, 15, and Josh Vance, 15, to Huntsville Hospital.

All had been discharged as of Tuesday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.

All the teens are from Lacey's Spring.

Other Brewer students who stopped at the scene said Patricia Murray is an 11th-grader and the others are ninth-graders.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
