Five arrested after drug raids
Two drug raids netted five arrests Friday by Decatur police.
The department’s organized crime, special response and anti-crime units used warrants to search two addresses: 111 Sixth Ave. N.W. and 1809 O’Rourke Lane S.W., Apartment C.
At the first address, officers reported finding crack cocaine and drug use/sale paraphernalia.
They arrested two people, and one of those faces a misdemeanor charge of loitering in a drug house.
The other, Harold Young Jr., 31, of 111 Sixth Ave. N.W., is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving false information to police. He was released from Morgan County Jail on $1,750 bond.
At the second address, officers said they found powder cocaine, marijuana, guns, cash and drug use/sale paraphernalia.
One of the three arrested there faces the charge of loitering in a drug house. The other two, Leon Tremayne Teague, 31, and Precious Renea Harper, 23, both of 1809 O’Rourke Lane S.W., Apartment C, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor drug crimes. Teague also was charged with tampering with evidence.
The two were released from Morgan County Jail on $2,250 and $1,750 bonds, respectively.
